When life all got too much, and I couldn't face the world, I knew that I needed to talk to someone other than my family and friends. Someone who wouldn't judge me on my past or offer advice on what I should or shouldn't do. I wanted someone just to listen to my story and allow me to work out my own answers, in a space where I felt heard and held.
It was suggested that counselling would enable me to find a space to offload about my life and make sense of my world. I still remember asking "What is counselling and how will it help me?" I was fortunate enough to discover this.
As a qualified Person-Centred counsellor, I can offer you a confidential safe space, showing compassion and respect, free of judgement. Empathically, attentively listening to what you bring. My belief is that mutual trust is the foundation on which a good therapeutic relationship develops.
As well as being a registered member of BACP my qualification was awarded by an accredited BACP course. I have experience working with a range of issues including bereavement and loss, trauma, general anxiety, abuse and depression. I also help facilitate group therapy of the bereaved through suicide.
I offer a free introductory session and concessionary rates. If you’d like to know more, you are welcome to email me.
